I never write reviews but after seeing that this laptop did not have many reviews and a negative review I decided to write one as it is unfair to write such a negative review. Yes, this laptop is big and heavy, its not an UltraBook and does not pretend to be. You will not find a cheaper laptop with the same hardware and really cool looking design. The fans on the back are a really nice design feature. My last laptop was an old HP Pavilion dv7 and the same weight as this one. The HP Laptop would overheat all the time and I ended up buying a CoolMaster laptop cooler, with the new Asus laptop I ran Furmark (GPU Stress Test) and it was running with no problem.
Mine came with Windows 8 and just go on the forums [...] and they will tell you that the first thing you do is uninstall/disable the Asus live update utility as it messes up some of the drivers. here's a link on what to do with your laptop when you get it.

The only Con I can think of is that to make this laptop shine, it needs a SSD Hard Drive. There's a more expensive model that has an SSD HD. But for $1,399 this laptop already comes with amazing hardware. Since (afaik) this laptop has only one HDD and has room for two HDD bays,I would highly recommend installing an SSD HD in the 2nd Drive Bay, its worth it. Plenty of help on the forums on how to do that.
Another thing, my laptop came with 2 partitions, the OS C: was 300GB and (Data) D: was 400GB. I have a USB 3.0 external drive for storage so I might end up re-sizing the C: drive.
On a side note I bought an Ibex 17 Inch Notebook Backpack and this laptop WILL NOT fit. You have to buy a bigger laptop backpack because of the fans in the back.
